Twenty-five road traffic offences were recorded during a joint roadblock operation conducted by multiple enforcement agencies at the Belait District at Sungai Liang areas on Friday night.
The operation, conducted by 50 personnel from the Traffic Control and Investigation Department of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Land Transport Department (JPD), and Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED), was led by Belait Police District Traffic Investigation Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Alvin Goh.
Out of the total number of offence, 16 were recorded by the RBPF, while RCED recorded one offence, and the JPD recorded eight offences.
The offences included blurred vehicle licence plate, worn out tyres, expired road tax, usage of car shades, vehicle modification, and possession of illegal cigarettes, among others.
The RBPF in a press release said that the operation aimed to ensure road users adhere to traffic regulations for the safety of all.
