The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) yesterday held a religious ceremony for students of its Education Intervention Programme (PIP) in Tutong and Belait districts who are preparing for their year-end examinations.
The event, held at Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Kampong Sengkarai, Tutong, was attended by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Visionary, Finance and Cabinet) at the Prime Minister’s Office and guest of honour Ajman bin Haji Meludin in his capacity as a member of the Yayasan Aid Review Committee.
Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak in her capacity as Acting Managing Director of YSHHB also participated.
The event began with a Sunnat Hajat prayer, followed by a mass recitation of Surah Yassin and a thanksgiving prayer led by Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Mohammad Khairul Azmy bin Haji Bakar.
This year, 325 students have been selected to join the PIP at eight centres across the country, with 207 sitting for the Primary School Assessment Examination (PSR), 60 for GCE ‘O’ Level and 58 for the Religious Schools Certification Examination.
