Brisk walk, art expo mark World Tourism Day

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Brunei Darussalam yesterday marked World Tourism Day 2020 by hosting a Brisk Walk and an Art Gallery Exhibition at the Jalan Menteri Besar Recreational Park.

This year the celebration carries the theme ‘Tourism and Rural Development.’

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong was the guest of honour. Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brunei Darussalam Homeira Rigi Zirouki also attended.

The minister joined guests for the 7am walk around the park, before heading to the Art Gallery Exhibition showcasing exquisite artworks of Iranian mosques.

Officials from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Brunei Darussalam, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended.

The event aimed to observe World Tourism Day and promote a healthy lifestyle.
