Brunei Darussalam marked four days without new COVID-19 cases yesterday keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 146 including one active case receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) took 130 samples for SARS-CoV-2 virus testing in the past 24 hours and has carried out 58,487 tests since January 2020.

The latest information on COVID-19 in the country was shared by the MoH in a press release.

Some 415 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad, while 6,200 completed their stint since March 2020.

The MoH reminded the public taking swab test for travelling abroad to do it three to five days before their flight– subject to the terms and conditions of the destination. The results of the swab test will take time and the ministry sought the public’s patience.

Swab tests can be carried out at the Berakas Health Centre and the Sports Complex of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

At Berakas Health Centre, the tests are available from 8am to noon and 2-4pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday.

On Friday, Sunday and public holidays, the tests are conducted from 2-5.30pm.

The swab tests at the Sports Complex of the RIPAS Hospital are conducted from 7am-10pm daily, except public holidays.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 113 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 27 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.

Information can be obtained from the MoH official website at www.moh.gov.bn, the Health Advice Line at 148, or through the BruHealth app or web app healthinfo.gov.bn.
