WAAG Brunei Darussalam new executive members elected

The Brunei Darussalam Rabitah International Al-Azhar Alumni (WAAG Brunei Darussalam) conducted its second general meeting yesterday, which saw the selecting of new executive members for 1442-1443H.

Ra’es of the Executive Committee of WAAG Brunei Darussalam Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof also attended the event at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).

The meeting began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa.

Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali, in his capacity as the chairperson of the working committee for the meeting, said that since the establishment of the association two years ago, its existence has been felt. Its members have also been able to apply their knowledge when giving views and consultation (in the religious field) through the government platform and the association’s platform.

Yesterday’s meeting saw the reviewing of the first general meeting; discussions on arising issues; delivering of report by the secretary general and finance statement by the general treasurer; as well as discussions on suggestions and ideas.

The event concluded with the recitation of Surah Al-‘Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah al-Majlis.
WAAG Brunei Darussalam functions as a platform to coordinate activities that will help build the Ummah and nation.
