Twenty orphans from RPN Kampong Meragang were celebrated at a ceremony at the Jalan Kapok Kanan residence of Kampong Kapok Acting Village Head Pengiran Haji Ibrahim bin Pengiran Haji Timbang recently.
Brunei-Muara District Officer Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim was the guest of honour.
Legislative Council member and Village Head of Kampung Masjid Lama, Pekan Muara, Sabun and Pelumpong Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman, as well as members of the Kampong Kapok and RPN Kampong Meragang Village Consultative Council and representatives of Pooman Sdn Bhd also attended.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by the Kampong Kapok Mosque Head Imam Haji Shabirin bin Haji Md Noor.
The guest of honour presented donations to orphans.
The Kampong Kapok Village Consultative Council organised the event, which was made possible with the help of generous donations made to help lessen the burden of orphans.
