The Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Affiliated Members held a Khatam Al-Quran, Doa Kesyukuran and Sunnat Hajat prayer in conjunction with the birth anniversary of Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam at the residence of spouse of the Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Hasbi in Kampong Sungai Besar, Jalan Kota Batu yesterday.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Datin Hajah Nahriah in her capacity as the Head of Religious Committee Section for the group.
It was followed by the recitation of Surah Adh-Dhuhaa until Surah An-Nas and Doa Khatam led by spouse of the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mohammad.
The Sunnat Hajat prayer was led by spouse of the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Hajah Rogayah binti Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Wahid and concluded with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran by spouse of the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Jamai’ah binti Haji Manap.
Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohamad in her capacity as the Chairperson II of the group and the spouses of deputy ministers, permanent and deputy permanent secretaries and affiliated members were also present.
Meanwhile, the Welfare Body of Police’s Wives and Families (PEKERTI) organised mass prayers, recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran to mark Her Majesty’s birthday at the surau of Rumah Aman, official residence of the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Police Headquarters in Gadong.
Spouse of the Commissioner of Police Pengiran Datin Hajah Zauyah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman in her capacity as PEKERTI President was the guest of honour. Also present were PEKERTI Chairperson Datin Hajah Siti Shamsiah binti Haji Abdul Samad, PEKERTI Religious Chairperson Hajah Sarimah binti Haji Abdul Rahman, PEKERTI Executive Committee members along with members from the seven branches under PEKERTI.
One hundred and twenty PEKERTI members attended the religious ceremony that commenced with mass Maghrib prayer, Sunnat Hajat prayer, recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Doa Kesyukuran and concluded with mass Isyak prayers led by Siti Aimi binti Ali Rahman.
