Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST) notched yet another significant milestone yesterday with the launch of the first of its kind InnoConnect, a digital highway allowing access to services seamlessly and in real time.

Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof officiated the launch at DST Headquarters.

InnoConnect is a modular, easy-to-use and secure data exchange platform.

It is also a core digital infrastructure component in DST’s path to digital transformation.

The minister said, “With the launch of InnoConnect service today, Alhamdulillah, I am pleased to see a whole-of-nation approach at play, powering the digital transformation in Brunei Darussalam further. I was made to understand that the InnoConnect service is a platform that connects various stakeholders, and allows partnership opportunities for co-creation of products and services together with DST.

“This is indeed a very encouraging initiative that fully supports the Digital Economy Masterplan 2025. Clearly there is strong alignment of DST’s InnoConnect service with the masterplan, particularly on the need for a Smart Nation platform that is crucial to supporting seamless service delivery among government agencies, businesses and citizens. My heartiest congratulations to DST on this initiative, and thank you for letting me be a part of this journey!,” he said.

Meanwhile, DST Chief Executive Officer Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni said, “InnoConnect is the translator, workflow manager, gap closer, the in-between for communities, services, platforms, databases and more significantly the conduit for future innovations into an ever growing digital ecosystem. To unlock the full potential of the platform ecosystem, InnoConnect can be complimented by the use of our omni-channel customer interactions to service the public and private sectors.”

DST understands that in this new digital age, getting connected to services with just a few clicks provides great convenience and is of importance to customers. DST leverages this opportunity on InnoConnect to see how services can be delivered better, how to avoid duplication of efforts, make better use of data, and deliver services digitally.

InnoConnect provides a service delivery framework to share the right information and seamlessly share information, while at the same time protect the information securely.

With the launch, DST will be able to support the public and private sectors to enable seamless connectivity, interoperability and portability across complex ecosystem-based services. By bridging the gap, it is able to transform how individuals, business and service providers interact with each other, making it easier to reach out to all Bruneians.

Also in attendance at the ceremony were Legislative Council member and Digital Economy Council member Yang Berhormat Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii, officials from the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and members of DST Board of Directors.
