Doa Selamat for departing IMT contingent

A Doa Selamat was yesterday held for Brunei Darussalam’s 17th International Monitoring Team (IMT) prior to their departure for Mindanao, the Republic of the Philippines on October 20.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli will lead the contingent of eight Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel and an officer from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).

The ceremony at the Bolkiah Garrison began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah, Tedarus Al-Quran, Surah Yaasiin and Doa Selamat led by Ustaz Mohd Nur Amin bin Haji Jali, and followed by Tazkirah and Sunnat Doha prayer.

Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Commander of the RBAF Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat and Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali attended the event.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence (MinDef), service commanders, deputy permanent secretaries at the MinDef, directors, commandants, military and civilian officers and staff of MinDef and RBAF also attended.
