The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) held a Maulidur Rasul event at the Setia Pahlawan Hall of the MPRT building recently.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong was the guest of honour.
Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, heads of departments, officers and staff at the MPRT were also present.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and followed by a lecture titled ‘Sejauh Mana Kebenaran Rasulullah Itu Dijadikan Tauladan dan Tanggungjawab Sebagai Kakitangan Kerajaan’ by co-founder of Al-Minhaaj Centre Ustaz Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak.
A Dikir Syarafil Anam performance by the MPRT Dikir group was also held. The event concluded with the recitation of a Doa Selamat.
Former Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College hostelites
Former Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien (SOAS) College hostelites organised a Dikir Maulud at the residence of Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Lahab in Kampong Jangsak recently.
Haji Abdul Rahman is an advisory board member and holds the post of Chairman for Ex-HBG Welfare Fund Committee.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arshad as Head Advisor and the group’s patron Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Kassim bin Haji Johan, members of the advisory board attended the Dikir with their spouses.
The event also coincided with the host’s 72nd birthday.

The Kampong Kilanas Mosque Takmir Committee members organised the closing of Dikir Maulud on Friday night.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud was the guest of honour.
Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof who is Patron 1 of Kampong Kilanas Mosque Takmir Committee members was also present.
The mosque carried out Dikir Syarafil Anam for 12 nights with the participation from 15 Dikir groups outside the village. The groups invited included those from the Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD), Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), Prisons Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Pengiran Anak Puteri Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam Religious School, Sufri Bolkiah Mosque, RPN Kampong Rimba, Nexus Sdn Bhd, Warisan Burong Pingai Ayer Dikir Group, Teratak Sumur, Syarikat Amanah Haji Abdullah, Senior Citizens Association and the Indonesian Community Association (PERMAI).

Annajat Complex with Wafa Hotel and Apartment organised a talk titled ‘Membangun dengan Akhlak Nabi Muhammad SAW’ on October 29. Managing Director of ATHA Sdn Bhd Datin Hajah Norayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Mohammad Nawawi was the guest of honour at the event held in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul.
The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the lecture delivered by Associate Professor Dr Abdul Rahman Haqqi from Universiti Sultan Sharif Ali. Guests from Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque and Kampong Mata-Mata Religious Hall read Dikir Diba’e and Dikir Marhaban.

The Kampong Tanah Jambu Mosque Takmir Committee held a closing ceremony for the Dikir Maulud last Wednesday.
Patron of the Kampong Tanah Jambu Mosque Takmir Committee Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud attended the annual event.
The event began with a mass Maghrib prayer led by the mosque’s Imam Mohd Saifullah bin Rosli.
A Tahlil recitation for Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim was also held.
The event concluded with a certificate presentation by Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad and the mosque’s Takmir Committee Advisor Pehin Datu Panglima Colonel (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil bin Haji Ahmad to participants of a recently-concluded emergency help workshop.
