The School of Health Sciences of the Politeknik Brunei (PB), Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Saadatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (PAPRSB IHS) of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and the Kampong Subok Village Consultative Council (MPK) collaborated in a Community Outreach Project at the Bukit Sipatir Recreational Park yesterday.

The project sought to raise hikers’ awareness on safety and draw more visitors to Bukit Sipatir as well as increase the village economy.

The ceremony began with a Doa Selamat followed by a speech by School of Health Sciences of the PB student representative Christy Deborah anak Dollah.

The ceremony saw the presentation of certificates to sponsors and an emergency aid kit to the Bukit Sipatir Rescue Team followed by the launching of the information signboard by Acting Director of PB Lim Kian Boon, Assistant Professor at the PAPRSB IHS of UBD Dr Deeni Rudita bin Idris and Acting Village Head of Kampong Subok Lawi bin Haji Lamat.

Future projects include the e-poster distribution and short video clip on hiking safety by project committee members, which will be shared on the project’s social network platform.
Also planned is the installation of an information board at the entrance.

The committee members and their students will be at the Bandarku Ceria on Sunday to interact with the public and conduct a quiz.
