Events mark Maulidur Rasul celebration

Royal Brunei Police Force

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) through its Islamic Religious Body hosted a special talk to commemorate Maulidur Rasul celebration at its headquarter’s auditorium in Tungku, Gadong.

Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali was the guest of honour.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Haji Mohammed Fadzillah bin Haji Ismail, directors, senior officers and personnel were also present.

Islamic Da’wah Centre Religious Officer Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi delivered a religious talk titled Membangun Dengan Akhlak Nabi Muhammad SAW.

Fire and Rescue Department

The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) held a Maulidur Rasul celebration at the Jerudong Fire Station last Saturday.

It was organised by the FRD’s Operation ‘F’ Branch and coordinated by Station Commander of Jerudong Fire Station ASFR Haji Hassan bin Haji Jamudin along with personnel of Team B of the station.

The religious ceremony was attended by Operation ‘F’ Branch Commanding Officer Acting SSFR Haji Nordin bin Haji Buntan as the guest of honour. Deputy Commanding Officer of Operation ‘F’ Branch ASFR Suhaimi bin Haji Muhamad, station commander and fire personnel were also present.

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali

The Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) via its Student Affairs’ Section held a special forum in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul at its auditorium on November 13.

Rector of UNISSA Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, main officers, academicians, staff and students of UNISSA were present.The forum, themed Membangun Dengan Akhlak Nabi Muhammad SAW was delivered by Mohd Hassan Basri bin Haji Hanipah of Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre and Mohd Furqan Firdaus bin Dr Shamdul Muawan of the Faculty of Syariah and Law.

It was chaired by Faculty of Islamic Economic and Finance student Mohammad Farizuan bin Assokan. The event’s objective was to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and to instil unity and love towards the Prophet (pbuh).

The ceremony also coincided with the Best Staff Award 2019 where nine academics and support staff received awards from the rector.
