The Law Seminar of 1442H/ 2020, jointly organised by the PMO’s Security, Enforcement and Law Division and the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC), officially launched at the Banquet Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud said the seminar intends to produce civil servants who understand the law in general as well as the law of respective ministries or departments.
The seminar comprised 10 sessions to be presented by officials from the AGC, covering the Legislation Process, Legal Review and Translation Process, Crimes Relating to Government Officials such as Corruption and Misconduct of Civil Servants, Contracts, Government Debt Recovery Process, and the Process of Making International Agreements such as Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Treaty.
Officials from ministries and government agencies are attending the two-day event.
Also present at the opening ceremony were Attorney General Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa, Judicial Commissioner / Chief Registrar at the Supreme Court, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, Solicitor General and Chief Registrar of the Syariah Appeal Courts.
