Exciting times are ahead for imagine customers with the launch of the company’s line of Smart Home devices as it looks to meet the growing market demand of the increasingly tech-savvy population.

To celebrate the expansion of imagine’s product portfolio featuring a series of electronic appliances, the company launched its Smart Life Demo centre at imagine’s Citis Square branch where customers and visitors are given the opportunity to experience the endless possibilities of Smart Home living.

Other demo centres have also been established at imagine’s branches at The Mall, Gadong and Panaga in Seria, Belait District.

Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof witnessed the launch yesterday.

In her opening remarks, imagine CEO, Suzannawati binti Suharju said as Brunei progresses closer to achieving the main goals under the Digital Economy Masterplan 2025 to promote a Smart Nation in line with Brunei Vision 2035, “we recognise imagine’s responsibility to be the enabler of a digital future – one smart device, one household at a time”.

The line of Smart Home products as part of imagine’s added-value services was selected with customers in mind. Prior to the release of these products, a team of imagineers conducted diligent surveys, research, and analysis to better understand the needs of Brunei’s market.

“The effort invested into thoughtfully designing imagine’s line of products and services is testament to the company’s resolve in listening to the needs of its customers and followed through with the delivery of public expectations,” the company said in a press release.

imagine partnered with local start-up Smart Space, a smart home solutions provider, to bring in readily available technology for the home that has the potential to become necessary household staples.

“The aim is to make day-to-day activities easier in hopes to create awareness on technology that we have yet realise we need,” she said, adding that “our dedicated teams here at imagine – our imagineers – will continue with their exploration for the next big thing. Why? Because it’s in our DNA to provide added value to our portfolio as we believe Bruneians deserve the best in our products, and in our excellent customer service whether at home, at work, and on the move”.

In addition to providing smart appliances for the home, Smart Space has also engaged with Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) to provide graduates with hands-on work experience and knowledge. This is also part of the imagine-Smart Space collaboration to enhance skills and capabilities among Bruneians in the field of ICT.

imagine’s line of Smart Home products and services are available starting today at its branches in Citis Square, The Mall and Panaga.

As part of imagine’s initiative recently, the company signed with Strateq Global of Malaysia to provide an array of internationally recognised ICT solutions for various industries across the nation.

Additionally, imagine hosted a three-day webinar series to better socialise imagine’s latest corporate and government offerings that can assist in enhancing efficiency, increasing cost-effectiveness, and promoting sustainability by using technology provided by imagine.

In its ongoing efforts to provide Bruneians with product and price diversity, imagine also recently introduced the latest line of Apple’s iPhone 12 dream broadband plus plans with low upfront payment and affordable broadband and post-paid plans.
