In conjunction with the World Mental Health Day 2020 celebration, the Psychiatry Services and the Board of Visitors for Psychiatry Services of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital will be organising a Mental Health Awareness Virtual Fundraising Run.
The event invites participants to walk, run, hike or cycle for distances of 10 kilometres, 30 kilometres or 50 kilometres throughout December, aimed at raising funds for the Therapeutic Healing Garden project which will be built on the grounds of the Psychiatry Services in Kampong Kiarong.
Following this, an appreciation ceremony was held at the Women and Children’s Centre, RIPAS Hospital yesterday. Acting Chief Executive Officer Special Grade of RIPAS Hospital Abdol Hazis bin Haji Ahad was the guest of honour.
Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited, as the main partner and platinum sponsor donated BND10,000 to the Psychiatry Services Therapeutic Healing Garden project.
The month-long activity also aims at promoting mental health awareness in Brunei Darussalam and highlighting the importance of relationship between physical and mental health.
Also present were heads of departments and senior officers at RIPAS Hospital, representatives from Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited as well as other sponsors including Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd, Clarity Sdn Bhd, Munia Business Consultancy, Serviclean Sdn Bhd and RYS Entertainment.
