The fourth cohort of Training of Trainers Certification Programme (ToT) was drawn to a close at the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (Voctech) yesterday.
The five-day training programme is recognised by Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (BDNAC) as well as Brunei Darussalam and Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA).
Ten participants from private training providers were introduced to skills necessary to effectively deliver their respective courses.
The programme enhanced participants’ existing capabilities by testing and fool-proofing their presentation and facilitation techniques. The participants were also exposed to competency-based learning; the essence of training and a trainer’s specific roles; the value of various learning theories; styles and principles of adult learning; and detailing the how’s of assessing training needs, while preparing, implementing, evaluating and delivering training.
In his closing speech, Centre Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH Alias bin Haji Abu Bakar congratulated the participants for completing the programme, as well as giving acknowledgement to facilitators and the team for their hardwork.
Deputy Director of Professional Affair cum Research Specialist Dr Paryono and Training and Professional Manager cum Teacher Education Specialist of SEAMEO VOCTECH Noorhayati Cynthia binti Abdullah, who facilitated and delivered the programme, were also present.
