In conjunction with this year’s Day of Action (DOA) that celebrates volunteers’ contribution across the country, imagine Sdn Bhd organised a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Blood Donation Centre and McDonald’s Brunei at McDonald’s Jerudong on Monday.
The corporate social responsibility (CSR) event collected 69 pints of blood donated by imagineers and the public.
The blood donation initiative, a first for imagine and as part of a series of volunteering activities throughout the month of December, was aimed at inculcating the spirit of giving among staff while providing the company an opportunity to engage with the public to better understand their telecommunications needs.
Donors were gifted either complementary McDonald’s meal vouchers or merchandise sponsored by imagine, as well as sundae cones and cappuccinos sponsored by McDonald’s.
imagineers have also been engaging in other volunteering activities including spending time with, and sponsoring school holiday activities for, children from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport’s Welfare Home Complex, planting 100 trees and a beach clean-up at Berakas Forest Reserve.
The company also dedicated its A-Dollar-A-Cheer SMS donation portal for the provision of school supplies to support families in need in preparation for the upcoming school year.
