Majority of these visitors are not only grabbing the attractive travel fares offered but are also eyeing the attractive prizes Pan Bright is offering in their Travel & Win promo that offers not only return air-tickets but also the option of driving away a brand new car or a Birkin bag as the grand draw prize.

Organised by Sabre Travel Network (TN) Brunei, the travel fair opening ceremony took place at the Green Quartz Multipurpose Hall, 7th Floor of the Centrepoint Hotel, Gadong and saw Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Minister of Communications, officiating the ceremony.

“We thank our partners and travellers for their participation throughout the years, and look forward to their continued support for the travel fair, the 13th edition of the event. With support of our partners, we will deliver new and unique content to travellers in search of their dream vacations,” said the chairman.

He further added that 13,800 attended the Brunei Travel Fair last year and they are confident that the number will increase at this year’s fair.

“This is the 13th edition of the travel fair and over the years we have seen a growing number of visitors and happy customers who have benefited from the hugely discounted airfares, tour packages, lucky draw prizes and other benefits,” said the chairman.

The chairman also noted that travel fairs of this size and stature would not be possible without the support of its partners and on this note expressed appreciation to Royal Brunei Airlines, the majority shareholder of Sabre TN Brunei, for their support and contribution throughout the years and sponsoring of lucky draw prizes and extending great promotional fares to the travelers via their travel agents.

He also extended appreciation to the participating travel agents, DST Group of Companies, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines as well as local banks namely Baiduri Bank Berhad, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam and Standard Chartered Bank.

Pierre Imhof CEO of Baiduri Bank noted that this year marks their 12th participation in the travel fair and being the official bank of the travel fair, “we provide the visitors the banking solutions that they need especially when buying their tickets and so forth”.

“It is a very good collaboration and a very popular event. Every year we find it extremely active and hope this year will be more successful,” added Imhof.
