Laksamana College of Business (LCB) Academic Studies/Operations Director Bogumiła Magdalena Mischke has been appointed the new Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Brunei Darussalam.
In accordance with the decision of Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Consul Mischke was appointed for a five-year period with jurisdiction in Brunei Darussalam.
Mischke who received the exequatur on November 26, 2020, has been associated with Brunei Darussalam for 18 years. She has been the (LCB) Academic Studies/Operations Director since 2002.
Mischke previously worked with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur organising events promoting Poland, including ‘Polish Days in Brunei Darussalam’ (an exhibition on Polish tatars, culinary workshops, live culinary shows by Polish chefs and a lecture on Polish foreign policy) and a concert for Polish classical music duo Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki.
The official opening of the consulate will take place at a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
