Charitable individual, company receive nod for contribution

The Society for Community Outreach and Training (SCOT) held an award presentation ceremony in conjunction with its 7th annual general meeting at Youth Centre, Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin presented the awards and certificates.

Nureen Afeah binti Elyas was presented SCOT Honorary Award for her exemplary contribution to SCOT as well as her determination, passion and continuous commitment to driving the mission of the organisation.

Kadairuncit.com, meanwhile, received the Stakeholder Award.

The company has shown continuous support in strengthening SCOT’s mission to create a dynamic public private partnership in the areas of youth development and poverty alleviation.

Its founder Aizuddin Fakhri bin Mohd Soud accepted the award on behalf of the company.

SCOT Chairman Mohd Anwar bin Haji Mohammad hoped the organisation continues to work hard in supporting the vision of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in eradicating poverty in the country through charitable projects.

Representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and SCOT committee members were also present.
