The Kampong Bengkurong Mosque Takmir Committee held a clean-up campaign at its premises on Sunday, involving 30 members, mosque youth and villagers from Kampong Bengkurong, Kampong Sinarubai and Kampong Burong Lepas.
Kampong Bengkurong Mosque Takmir Committee Adviser Dato Paduka Dr Haji Ismail bin Haji Duraman and Mukim Kilanas Acting Penghulu Haji Talib bin Haji Abu Bakar also attended.
Imam Md Zahid Zakwan bin Haji Mohd Said read the Doa Selamat.
The event also helped strengthen ties among villagers.
Meanwhile, 103 VAM®BRN Sdn Bhd employees rolled their sleeves up to beautify the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei Autism Centre for Adults (BACA) facility in Sungai Hanching.
SMARTER Brunei Vice President Sharifah Adila Surya binti Malai Haji Abdullah welcomed the team, led by Managing Director Hiroyuki Hatanaka.
The team spruced up the classrooms and indoor common area, and helped with grass-cutting, store housekeeping, drain clearing and removing mold from the outdoor space. The project is part of the company’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) to improve the housekeeping at SMARTER Brunei and promote a better learning environment.
