Brunei Darussalam yesterday recorded one imported COVID-19 case, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 176.
With the latest imported COVID-19 case, the country has four active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in the Tutong District. All the patients are in a stable condition.
The latest information of COVID-19 as of noon yesterday was shared by the Ministry of Health in a press statement.
The release stated case 176 is a woman aged 23, who arrived in Brunei Darussalam on B1874 flight on January 13 from Nepal via Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
She is being monitored and treated at the NIC. Contact tracing revealed she did not have any close contacts.
The MoH took 211 samples for SARS-CoV-2 testing in the past 24 hours and carried out 90,111 tests since January 2020.
Some 516 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad while 11,919 have completed their stint since March 2020.
Healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 141 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 29 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
