The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) held a national flag-raising ceremony in conjunction with the 37th National Day.
Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Acting Deputy Ra’es Dr Abang Haji Hadzmin bin Haji Abang Taha and Acting Assistant Ra’es Datin Dr Hajah Noor Hira binti Haji Noor Kasih along with KUPU SB key officials, officers, staff, lecturers and students were also present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Asma‘ul-Husna and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the handover of the national flag by the Ra’es of KUPU SB, a flag hoisting ceremony and the singing of the national anthem.
The procession at the assembly comprised the flag bearers, student representative council, uniformed groups including army cadets, police cadets, fire and rescue cadet troops, scouts, red crescents members, girl guides and KUPU SB students.
The ceremony was aimed at enlivening the National Day celebration, embedding the spirit of patriotism and love towards the nation as well as strengthening the national Melayu Islam Monarchy philosophy.
