In 1990s, Yang Jung Ming completed his military service in his 20s and suffered aches in addition to sport injuries.
Yang had a bad fall during horse riding and suffered injuries to his back resulting his legs feeling numb. He sought treatment at hospital but the pain persisted.
His friends recommended traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) but he was sceptical of its effectiveness. However, after a long treatment, he steadily recovered.
From being doubtful, Yang became a passionate practitioner of TCM leading him to learn from a master in the field.
In an interview, he said, “After gaining confidence that TCM is effective, I started learning from Sifu Tung in 1996. I was only 30 years old. I was under his tutelage for two years and received recognition for my works.”
To gain more knowledge and experience, Yang obtained more qualification in China where he achieved top score in a proficiency examination in 2004. He also receiv-ed recognition in an examination sponsored by the Qualification Examination Department of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.
Yang opened a TCM shop named CMED Enterprise in Medan Tanjung Bunut.
The shop opened in April last year saw encouraging response from the local community.
CMED Enterprise is offering free medical consultation today from 9-11am and 1-3pm.
He said this free consultation was aimed at raising awareness on TCM in the local community.
He said it exists for thousands of years and is an alternative to western medicine.
