Belait District Acting Scout Commissioner Mohamad Hatta bin Haji Suhaili expressed appreciation to the media and looked forward to the continued support.
“The media plays an important role in promoting the scouts movement by disseminating positive and accurate information and in achieving the PPNBD’s Strategic Plan to garnering 5,000 members by 2024,” he said at a media appreciation ceremony by the Belait District Scouts Association (PPDB) at V-Plaza Restaurant recently.
The association will hold this event annually to show appreciation to the media, he added.
Brunei Darussalam Scout Association (PPNBD) Deputy President II Haji Damit bin Haji Chuchu, as the guest of honour, was welcomed to the venue by PPDB Chairperson Terry D Jayasuriya, Mohamad Hatta and PPDB members.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to media representatives from Radio Television Brunei, Pelita Brunei, Brunei Press Sdn Bhd, See Hua Daily News Brunei, Sin Chew Daily and United Daily News.
