As part of its yearly corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, imagine yesterday teamed up with members of the Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) to assist in providing supplementary school supplies for underprivileged families.
The activity, funded by imagine and donors from the company’s A-Dollar-A-Cheer (ADAC) initiative totalling BND5,541.66, was supported by imagine volunteers, headed by imagine’s Vice President of Corporate Services Omardani bin Yusuf and Vice President of Marketing Dona Johan while MKM members were led by Vice President 1 Hajah Johana binti Haji Jaya.
Eighteen schoolchildren from eight financially challenged families were the focus of this year’s Back to School campaign, who required additional education provisions, from bags to books.
In line with imagine’s CSR pillars that encompass education as well as provide assistance to the underprivileged, the programme aims to alleviate the financial burden of families with the intent to ensure that their children are provided with the basic needs to thrive in their studies.
The activity yesterday was also part and parcel of imagine’s efforts to open opportunities for customers and members of the public in general to take part in raising funds for those in need under the company’s ADAC programme.
