It is important for all levels of the society to work together to increase physical activities, in order to reduce non-communicable diseases, said Chief Operating Officer of Gleneagles JPMC Sdn Bhd ‘Izzul Hamzi bin Jomari.
“It is our hope to educated the public to always practice a healthy lifestyle,” said ‘Izzul Hamzi, emphasing cooperation with the Health Promotion Centre through various events that promote a healthy society, both physically and mentally.
Yesterday, 340 runners participated in the Beach Run organised by the GMSS Cycle and Fitness Studio with support from the Happy Environment and LIfestyle Programme (HEAL) at Seri Kenangan Beach.
The run was divided into two categories, the 24-kilometre open and the six-kilometre fun run.
Also present were Public Relations Manager at Gleneagles JPMC Pengiran Norikhsan binti Pengiran Jaya Indera Pegiran Haji Mokhtar Puteh and Acting Village Head of Kampong Sengkarai Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan.
GMSS Cycle and Fitness Studio is one of HEAL ambassadors. The HEAL programme is one of two major programmes which is a public-private partnership project between the Health Promotion Centre, Ministry of Health and Gleneagles JPMC which began in 2019.
