The Royal Brunei Police Force has held engagements with several villages to boost the Neighbourhood Watch movement.
Among them was the recent session with Kampong Sungai Kelugos Village Head Haji Ismail bin Haji Muhammad and Assistant Officer-in-Charge of Tutong Police Station Inspector Muhd Haiqal bin Abdullah Raman to discuss the current affairs and crime statistics of the village. Personnel from the Tutong Police Station and Neighbourhood Watch members also attended. Additionally, two patrols were carried out.
Kampong Ayer Police Station Officer-in-Charge Inspector Mohd Ali Dzulfikri bin Mohd Taib and Kampong Lumapas ‘B’ Acting Village Head Mohammad Ali bin Tanjong led the patrol at Kampong Lumapas B, covering agriculture and industrial areas. No suspicious elements were found.
Meanwhile, Acting Village Head of Kampong Kiarong Haji Puasa bin Haji Dullah and Acting Village Head of Kampong Beribi Haji Ali bin Haji Matassan led a patrol across Kampong Beribi and Kampong Kiarong. Before setting off, Assistant Officer-in-Charge of Bandar Seri Begawan Central Police Station Inspector Pengiran Md Noorhasni bin Pengiran Haji Omar briefed on the roles of a Neighbourhood Watch member.
