Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Mazhab Shafi’i Research Centre (PPMS) in collaboration with the Centre for Graduate Studies (PPS) and under the coordination of the Kelab Ilmuan PPMS 2021, conducted a workshop on ‘technique to prepare working papers for Bachelor Degree and Doctor of Philosophy’ at the university’s auditorium.
The workshop, ‘Looking for Virtual Reference at your fingertips’, was aimed at students who struggle with the correct way of preparing a working paper.
UNISSA Acting Assistant Rector (Academic) Dr Haji Hambali bin Haji Jaili, PPMS Director Dr Azme bin Haji Matali, Deputy Director Dr Hajah Sri Rahayu @ Nurjanah binti Haji Dollah, Associate Professor Dr Ibnor Azli bin Ibrahim and PPMS’ Head of Undergraduates Programme Dr Cecep Soleh Kurniawan were present.
Kelab Ilmuan PPMS President Haji Mas Reduan bin Haji Jumat, Deputy President Iham Dwitama Haeba and members of the club as well as undergraduates were also in attendance. The workshop began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa led by PhD candidate Fatahillah M Ag, followed by welcoming remarks by Dr Hajah Sri Rahayu and Associate Professor Dr Ibnor Azli.
Facilitator from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Ezad Azraai Jamsari delivered an online presentation to show how working paper sources, articles and journals are obtained. He also offered tips on how to find a working paper according to the field, language or preferred researcher.
