The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) and its departments held an Israk Mikraj celebration yesterday.
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof participated.
The ceremony, organised by the Postal Services Department, was preceded by the recitation of Al-Quran verses by Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys Secondary School (SMALHB) Education Officer Pengiran Amirul Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki.
Guest speaker from Al-Minhaj Centre, certified Da’ie of Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) and Master’s graduate in Islamic Philosophy from the University of Cairo, Egypt Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak delivered a special talk titled ‘Prayer as Basis for Excellence of the Ummah’.
