A new gym offering high-end facilities, amenities and services to optimise gym-goers experience opened its doors at the opening ceremony the Higher Point Complex yesterday.
The Boss Gym, a one-stop avenue for gym-goers, is offering a free try-out session for the public today with free gym access from 7am to 10pm and free classes for 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 7pm sessions.
Founder cum Director Kenny Tchung, Hokkien Association Chairman Lim Han Chiong, Chinese Chamber of Commerce Chairman Malcolm Lim and Chung Hua Middle School, Kuala Belait Director Law Shiau Yuen joined the ribbon cutting ceremony. Tchung chose for the ribbon-cutting to be at 3.28pm.
Tchung’s parents Tchung Hoon Khian and Jessie Chin also participated in the ribbon-cutting.
Guests who were ushered into the gym toured the facilities and witnessed demonstrations by gym instructors.
Tchung said he decided to venture into the gym business because he wanted gym-goers to have a one-stop fitness spot different from others.
He added that everybody goes to the gym for a healthy lifestyle and to lose weight, and it is the gym’s goal to ensure that everyone gets the desired result.
The gym, with the slogan ‘Take Control, Be Your Own Boss’, offers customised individual workouts, nutrition and drinks.
“The result of your body depends on how you treat it in terms of what you eat and the workouts. We also do BMI checking and body composition. We understand that high quality gym equipment and accessories are a must. The Boss Gym equipment are designed to thrive in high-volume use setting,” he said.
The team comprises health fitness enthusiasts – Dkna, Sheila, Fathuddin, Areef, Faiz and Najib – with vast experience and background in fitness workouts .
The gym features areas for cardio, functional training and weight training. The gym also offers group workouts with its group exercise class and spinning studios.
There is also a juice bar for gym-goers to enjoy refreshments.
