The Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a religious function to mark Nisfu Sya’aban for 1442 Hijrah at Bolkiah Garrison on Sunday evening.
Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Commander of the RBAF Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, officers and staff of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF were present.
The function began with a mass Maghrib prayer led by Imam of Ad-Difa’ Surau Suhif @ Syu’aib bin Haji Abdullah. The event continued with three times recitations of Surah Yaasiin, a special Doa to mark Nisfu Sya’ban and concluded with mass Isyak prayer. Similar functions were also held at all suraus in the RBAF garrisons, camps and bases.
