Around 30 participants comprising representatives from the Attorney General’s Chambers, Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED), Department of Agriculture and Agrifood, Ministry of Health, Internal Security Department and Criminal Investigation Department under the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) attended the Intellectual Property Enforcement workshop co-organised by the Brunei Intellectual Property Office (BruIPO) and the RCED at its Kyoto Training Room yesterday.
The event aimed at discussing procedures relating to intellectual property enforcement among government agencies.
Attorney General and Registrar of Trade Marks, Patents and Industrial Designs Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa attended the opening ceremony.
RCED Acting Controller Haji Muhsin bin Haji Ahmad was also present.
The speakers were representatives from the Attorney General’s Chambers; Criminal Investigation Department of the RBPF; United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO); National Trading Standard of United Kingdom; UK HM Revenue and Customs; and UK Private Investigators and Hewlett-Packard Development Company (HP).
