The Ministry of Energy (ME) through its department and statutory bodies marked the Israk Mikraj celebration with a religious talk jointly organised by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary Office through its Policy and Strategy Division and Energy Manpower Division at the Main Theatre Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office Building Complex yesterday.
Acting Minister of Energy Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw was the guest of honour.
The event featured a special talk entitled ‘Teladan dan Hikmah Peristiwa Israk dan Mikraj’ by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Usuluddin Haji Mohd Khairul Nazif bin Haji Damit, who emphasised the significance of the five daily prayers for Muslims, is a pillar of Islam that should not be neglected. The speaker also demonstrated some common mistakes people make during performing prayers and showed the correct ways based on the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Acting Permanent Secretary at the ME Pengiran Haji Jamra Weira bin Pengiran Haji Petra, senior officials, officers and staff from the ministry, its department and statutory bodies were also present.
