Over 300 participated in the Pusat Ehsan Charity Fun Walk, Run & Cycle Tutong 2021, organised by Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam yesterday.
The event which began at the Tutong District Community Hall was divided into two categories – three-kilometre Fun Walk and Run and 27-kilometre Cycle.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, who participated in the Fun Walk and Run category, flagged off the participants.
The minister also joined in an aerobics warm-up session before the race.
Pusat Ehsan Board of Trustees member Pengiran Sarimah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Latiff, event Co-chairpersons Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Ramlee bin Pengiran Setia Raja Pengiran Haji Jaya and Hajah Mariah binti Pehin Datu Indera Sugara Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Johari were also present.
The event aimed to raise funds for Pusat Ehsan and instil awareness of the special needs community.
