THE Muara Beach Charity Sale Festival 2016, organised by the Kampong Kiulap Village Consultative Council (MPK) in collaboration with Brunei-Muara District Office, came to a close yesterday.
The four-day bazaar allowed parents to spend quality time with their children during the school holiday. Among the activities held during the event were a tug-of-war competition, Flying-Fox and bird competition (Burung Murai).
Proceeds from the sale will go the Orphan’s Fund and to the orphans of Kampong Kiulap.
The event also aimed to help local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to sell and promote their products to the public.

The festival was officially launched by YB Awang Haji Tahamit bin Haji Nudin, Legislative Council member and Penghulu of Mukim Gadong ‘A’.
YB Awang Haji Tahamit expressed his gratitude for the success and cooperation of MPK Kampong Kiulap and Kampong Kiulap Women’s Bureau in holding the charity event.
