PERBADANAN Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) recently held Sunnat Hajat Prayer and Doa Kesyukuran at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampong Kiarong in conjunction with TAIB’s 25th anniversary.
The event’s guest of honour was Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs cum Advisor to Perbadanan TAIB Board of Directors.
Former TAIB Board of Directors and Syariah Advisory Committee members since TAIB’s establishment in 1991 were also invited as special guests to the religious occasion.
They were welcomed by Dato Paduka Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the Deputy Minister of Finance cum Deputy Chairman of Perbadanan TAIB Board of Directors, and Acting Managing Director, Haji Rosdi Amin bin Dato Paduka Haji Yaakub. Also in attendance were members of the Syariah Advisory Committee and employees of Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings and Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd.

The ceremony commenced with the closing of Khatam Al-Quran for the completion of 30 Juzuks 25 times by employees in conjunction with TAIB’s 25th anniversary.
The guest of honour also presented Waqaf from TAIB to a representative of Jame’ ‘Asr, Haris bin Haji Suboh. Perbadanan TAIB was established on September 29, 1991 as the first Islamic financial institution to provide financial products and services in accordance to Islamic principles.
