TO celebrate its anniversary, Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) yesterday presented gifts to 16 babies born on September 29, the same day the establishment turned 25.
The Brunei-Muara District recorded the highest number of newborns with 14 babies (six males and nine females) delivered at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
Meanwhile, Belait and Tutong districts recorded the delivery of one female baby at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital and another female baby at the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital respectively.
However, no births were recorded at the Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital in Pekan Bangar, Temburong.
Perbadanan TAIB gave each baby $250, which was banked into their newly opened ‘Akaun SiManja.’
Presenting the gifts in the Brunei-Muara District was Hajah Norlia binti Haji Idris, wife of the Acting Managing Director of Perbadanan TAIB. The presentation was held at the Women and Children’s Centre of RIPAS Hospital.
Also present were officers and staff from Perbadanan TAIB, RIPAS Hospital and Ministry of Health.
