SOME 100 diehard Wu Chun fans from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan and Singapore flew into Brunei Darussalam yesterday to get up close and personal with the superstar to celebrate his 37th birthday at The Energy Kitchen.

This was the first time that Wu Chun celebrated his birthday with fans in Brunei and it was also the first time that his fans got to enjoy the meals prepared by Wu Chun himself.

“I want to take the opportunity to introduce them to healthy eating as well, as I am very keen on educating and making my fans realise that health is our true wealth. I want to make my birthday celebrations meaningful, so aside from having private time with my family and friends, I also make sure to make time to celebrate it with my supporters every year,” Wu Chun said.

Each attending fan received a limited edition apron, designed by Wu Chun himself, which was worn by everyone at the event. There was also a photo booth set up by HOCO creative where his overseas fans wearing the apron had one-on-one photo opportunities with Wu Chun who was in his chef uniform.

The event was personally designed by Wu Chun himself to give fans the opportunity to ask questions and mingle with the superstar in a friendly open forum. Wu Chun also gave his fans a big surprise with a special appearance of his daughter, widely known as Nei Nei, who appeared with him in the very popular China TV reality show ‘Daddy is back’.

His daughter also shared the same birthday with her superstar daddy, and a heart-warming arrangement took place when the fans sang the birthday song to both of them. They also had a group picture taken with their fans during the birthday cake presentation.

Being the brand ambassador of Royal Brunei Airlines, Wu Chun also assists in promoting tourism in Brunei by giving encouragement to his international fan-based groups to come and visit the beautiful kingdom of Brunei – like with recent events that took place earlier this year, such as ‘She Runs 2016’ where women from 16 different countries participated.
