THE Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) participated in the Piutermas Kenyalang Limbang District’s Scout Camp held at the SEDC Field in Limbang town, which was officially declared closed by Dr Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ismail, Minister of Social Welfare and Community, Sarawak yesterday.
PPNBD sent a scout leader and four venture scouts to the four-day camp held from October 28-31. Present at the closing ceremony of the event held at Dewan Sekolah Kebangsaan Melayu Pusat, Limbang town was Limbang Resident Datuk Maria bin Hasman and Chairman of the Limbang District Scouts Association, Temenggong Ang Kheng Su, Limbang District Scout Commissioner, Ustaz Abdul Malik bin Deni and Limbang District Assistant Scout Commissioner as well as Limbang District Scout leaders.
Also present were Scout Chief Commissioner of PPNBD, Haji Badar bin Haji Ali, Assistant Estate Manager Haji Abdul Rajak bin Sigai, and Executive Scout Officer Zainudin bin Haji Ishak.
The four-day camp carried the theme ‘Pengakap Aspirasi Semangat Perpaduan’ and was filled with various activities that included tasks that challenged the participants’ physical and mental capabilities. The camp aimed to foster closer relations among scout members and to cultivate the attitude of tolerance among scouts.
A total of 150 participants from several secondary and primary schools in the Limbang District including from Brunei participated in the camp.
