A MAN was killed in a road accident in Seria, Kuala Belait, yesterday.
Initial police investigations revealed that the 24-year-old died when he crashed his motorcycle following a downpour along Jalan Tengah near Taman Jubli at 3.06am yesterday.
It is learnt that the victim rammed his bike into a pole.
“The front part of the vehicle was damaged. A tyre also exploded and the handlebar was broken,” said a statement from the police.
The man passed away at 7.48am while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Kuala Belait.

The police advised motorists to exercise caution and care when driving and to always follow traffic laws and regulations.
Investigations to determine the cause of the accident are ongoing.
