BANK Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), the largest Islamic bank in Brunei Darussalam providing personal and business banking services in the Sultanate, is looking to further spread its presence overseas as well as in the local financial industry with the opening of an additional office abroad as well as another three new branches in the country.
This was revealed by Mubashar Khokhar, Managing Director of BIBD, in his brief speech at the prize presentation ceremony for the 7th annual BIBD Perdana Golf Invitational Tournament, held at The Empire Hotel & Country Club yesterday.
He cited that following the opening of the Singapore office, BIBD is planning to open an office abroad and three new branches in the country.
In his speech, Mubashar Khokhar also recalled some of the achievements of the bank, among which include this year’s ‘The Safest Bank in Brunei Darussalam’ award by Global Finance and the strong ‘A’ rating from the leading international credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) and others.
Mubashar Khokhar conveyed his gratitude for the continuous support of the loyal customers of BIBD before concluding his speech.
