THREE Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) officers, who completed their flying training, received their pilot wings at a ceremony held yesterday at the RBAirF Headquarters in Rimba.
On hand as the guest of honour to present the wings was the Commander of the RBAirF, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah.
The recipients of the pilot wings were 1062 Lieutenant (U) Amir Dawod bin Shahrul Zaman and 1063 Lieutenant (U) Norasiah binti Hussin, in which both completed their Flying Training, Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing, at the Royal Brunei Air Force.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant (U) Muhd Nazmi bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Shaminan completed the Elementary Flying Training and Single Engine Rotary Wing Training at the Royal Air Force Cranwell and Shawbury in the United Kingdom.
Following the pilot wings presentation, the officers will now proceed to further their operational flying career at No 1 Wing.
To date, seven officers have undergone the flying training this year and are now qualified pilots.
