OVER 700 entries were submitted for the Borneo Bulletin Photography Contest.
This was revealed during the selection of the 26 winning entries by organisers Brunei Press Sdn Bhd, together with sponsors, Interhouse Company, The Coffee Bean Brunei, and Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd as well as a representative from the Brunei Tourism Department held at the Commercial Printing Services, Brunei Press in Beribi, yesterday.
The entries highlight popular local art, sport or culture, business and infrastructure, places of attraction or a glimpse of every-day living in Brunei. A special prize awaits the best submission which reflects Brunei’s art and culture in conjunction with Bandar Seri Begawan being recently declared as the Asean City of Culture from 2016 to 2017.
Winners of the ‘Bandar Seri Begawan as Asean City of Culture’ category will receive a Huawei handset and a one-year mobile phone plan from Progresif.
Top winning entries will receive a Canon EOS 80D, Canon EOS M as well as a Canon Power-shot. Exclusive Coffee Bean ‘Kaldi’ beverage systems and other Coffee Bean merchandise will also be awarded. 20 consolation prize winners will each bring home a Canon iP2870s Printer and an exclusive goody bag from The Coffee Bean Brunei.
Results will be published in the December 6 edition of the Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata. A representative from Brunei Press will contact winners with details on how to collect the prizes.
