THE Prime Minister’s Office and the departments under it held a Maulidur Rasul ceremony for 1438 Hijrah yesterday at the Banquet Hall, 1st Floor, Prime Minister’s Office Building.
The guest of honour for the ceremony was Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Acting Minister of Finance.
Also attending the ceremony were Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Hayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh, Attorney General; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Roselan bin Haji Mohamad Daud, Acting Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister’s Office; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamdan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, head of departments, senior officers, officers and staff of the Prime Minister’s Office and the departments under it.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Haji Azrol Alim bin Haji Zaini, Religious Affairs Officer at the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
A special talk was delivered by Pengiran Hafizuddin bin Pengiran Haji Bakar, Religious Affairs Officer entitled ‘A Blessed Vision Guided by the Ways of the Messenger of Allah the Almighty’, a theme chosen for this year’s Maulidur Rasul.
The ceremony continued with the Dikir Maulud performed by a dikir group from the Prime Minister’s Office comprising of Department of Radio Television Brunei, Royal Brunei Police Force, Department of Electrical Services, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Information Department and Government Printing Department.
To bless the ceremony, a Doa Selamat was recited by Haji Azrol Alim. The ceremony was being co-organised by the Energy and Industry Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (EIDPMO) and Economy and Finance Division (EK), Prime Minister’s Office.
