A FULL rehearsal for the Women’s Special Assembly was held yesterday at the International Convention Centre (ICC), in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul celebrations for 1438 Hijrah.
On hand to witness the rehearsal was Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Executive Committee for Major Islamic Events Celebrations and the National Al-Quran Reading Competition for 1438 Hijrah.
Also present were Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; and Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
Jointly organised by the MoRA and the Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam together with the Ministry of ForeignAffairs and Trade, the assembly will feature a special lecture delivered by a speaker from the Islamic Da’wah Centre, titled ‘Berwawasan Yang Berkat Dengan Bercontoh Kepada Rasulullah (SAW).
Starting tomorrow, the event will also showcase a three-day exhibition on Halal products and services offered by local entrepreneurs.
