MURNI bin Haji Mahali bagged the Brunei Photographic Society (PFNBD) Best Photographer of the Year 2016 Award at the PFNBD Gala Night held at the Youth Centre in the capital last night.

The night saw Acting Deputy Principal of History Centre Brunei cum guest of honour Pengiran Hajah Mahani binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad also handing out prizes to the winner of the Outing and Sharing events, and recipients of the Honorary Associate Brunei Photographic Society (Hons, ABPS).

In his speech, PFNBD President Hamidun bin Haji Mohd Noor spoke of some of the activities carried out for 2016, among them – the Best Photographer of the Year 2016 challenge, the Outing and Sharing events, Family Day, Ramadhan and Hari Raya celebrations.

“The association did not forget to offer its services to society. As a non-government organisation (NGO), we organised our third Korban ceremony at chosen villages. The first was held at Kampong Luagan Dudok in Tutong, followed by Kampong Kapok, while last year Kampong Bengkurong was chosen. At these events, we mingled and strengthened bonds with members and villagers,” he said.

PFNBD has organised several courses and workshops for its members, facilitated by both local and foreign instructors.
