BRUNEIANS can tune into Channel NewsAsia’s Asean Next Generation Leaders (ANGeLs) TV programme on January 26 at 9.30pm to watch an inspiring story of Wu Chun, Brunei’s very own international celebrity with host Nadya Hutagalung.
ANGeLs is a new series for Mediacorp’s Channel NewsAsia, with each episode showing a half-hour feature on individuals around the Asean region aged between their late 20s to early 40s, who are leading change in their home country or around the region.
The series is telecast from December 2016 to January 2017.
The fifth episode of the TV programme was filmed in Brunei at the end of last month and will showcase Wu Chun’s rise to fame in show business as well as his passionate drive to promote a healthy lifestyle in Brunei Darussalam.
In addition, the programme will also touch on Wu Chun’s numerous charitable acts to help those in need.
Wu Chun, who is currently filming a drama series in China said, “This interview is something different compared to many of the interviews that I have done in my showbiz career and I felt that it’s something very meaningful to inspire the audience.
“It’s special because it’s not entirely about my showbiz career. It’s about sharing experiences from my entertainment business as well as being an entrepreneur, hoping we can inspire our younger generation to dream big and never be afraid of failing.
“Majority of people only see the successful side of the story but only a very few understand how much sacrifice has been done in our lives and how hardworking we are to make these sacrifices worthwhile at the end of the day,” he said.
“It’s also a privilege to be chosen to represent my country together with so many great leaders in Asean and together, we hope to give back to the community and share some of the lessons we learnt with the audience,” he added.
