DATIN Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) yesterday received a courtesy call from a delegation from the Islamic Welfare and Charity Body at the Chief Minister of Sabah Office (BALKIS CMD) led by Haji Said bin Hinayat, Director of State Archives.
After an exchange of souvenirs with Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the delegation discussed and exchanged views with Haji Mohd Noor Jusmin bin Haji Abdul Samad, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MCYS on matters of culture, history and archives.
Present at the ceremony were the Acting Director of Museums, Acting Director of Culture and Arts, and senior officials from the ministry.
The 11-person delegation is on a four-day visit from January 28 for historical places in the Sultanate. The visit also aimed to strengthen the long-standing ties and cooperation between Brunei and Sabah.
During the stay in the country, the delegation toured some of the historical places in Brunei Darussalam, such as Istana Nurul Iman, Luba Tomb of Sultan Abdul Kahar in Jalan Tutong, the tomb of Sultan Saiful Rijal, Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, the Malay Technology Museum, the Royal Regalia Building and the Brunei History Centre.
