A GROUP comprising some 15 youths from Belia Cinta Tanah Air programme (PBCTA) participants along with officers and staff from the Youth and Sports Department organised a community work project held in Tutong District recently.
The community work took place at the Tutong District Volunteers Group (SUKA) headquarters in Sungai Basong.
The group was given a briefing on SUKA’s Contribute and Assist programme delivered by the Head of SUKA Secretariat, Muhammad Amir bin Haji Umarali in his capacity as Chief Programme Manager.
Among the contents of his briefing included the objectives of the programme, which aimed to created and provide platforms for the community to contribute and seek much-needed help as well as to support and nurture a culture of austerity and recycling in the community and to educate people to be appreciative and attentive of the distress of others.
During the activity, the group was invited to fold, wrap and pack donated articles of clothing before delivering it to recipients under the Contribute and Assist programme.
